We are located over at Rajdeep Industrial Estate, right near the Vatva station in Ahmedabad. It’s a busy part of the city with a lot of noise and trucks constantly moving through the narrow lanes. Our workshop at 111 and 112 is usually pretty loud from the machines running all day long. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and looking over the sketches for whatever job came in that week. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, especially with the metal everywhere, but we have some big fans that help a bit. We do a lot of turning and milling, mostly for local factories that need parts fast. Sometimes the guys stay late if a machine breaks down or if a client is in a real hurry for an order. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and everyone knows the tea stall at the corner. The floor is covered in metal shavings and oil, no matter how much we sweep it at the end of the shift. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk in the corner with a lot of folders and old receipts. It’s honest work, getting your hands dirty and making sure the dimensions are right on every piece we make. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to check an email. It’s mostly just the sound of the lathe and the smell of cutting oil.
