Urban Tadka

Ashram Road is always a bit of a mess with traffic, but that’s where you’ll find us. We are part of the Hotel Vice President building, right near the Times of India office. If you see the big Bata showroom, you’ve basically found us because we’re right across from it. Ahmedabad is a fast city, and this road is one of the busiest. Urban Tadka is just our way of being part of that energy. We get all sorts of people coming in—business folks, families, and people just passing through. It’s a convenient spot because it’s easy to explain to a rickshaw driver where we are. The interior is just standard restaurant stuff, tables and chairs and lights. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations because we’re more focused on keeping the kitchen moving. It can get pretty packed during lunch hours because of all the offices nearby. We try to keep things simple. No one here is going to give you a long speech about our philosophy or anything like that. We just want you to have a seat and get what you ordered without any fuss. It’s been our home for quite a while now. Some days are quieter than others, but usually, there’s a steady hum of people talking and the sound of the street outside. It’s just a normal restaurant in a busy part of town.
