Our place is at 104/2, right near the Ramdev Estate in Amraiwadi. We are situated right opposite the Baroda Express Highway, so there is always a lot of heavy traffic passing by. You can hear the rumble of the trucks from inside the building. We handle milk products here, and it’s a busy routine. Everything starts very early in the morning when the milk arrives. The floors are usually wet because we are constantly washing things down to keep everything proper. It’s not a quiet job. There is the sound of machines and the clinking of containers all the time. We have a small office area near the front, but most of us are usually out on the floor. It is a practical space, mostly concrete and stainless steel. We don't really bother with much decoration because we are too busy moving things around. The location is good for getting onto the highway, which helps when we need to send stuff out. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes the work a bit tougher, but we have some big fans to keep the air moving. We’ve been here in Amraiwadi for a bit and we know most of the people in the neighboring estates. It is just a regular milk plant where we come in, do what needs to be done, and head home when the last batch is cleared. It’s a lot of physical work, but it keeps us going.
