Raja Ice Cream & Food Industries

Raja Ice Cream & Food Industries is tucked away in Wadaj. We are located behind Akhbar Nagar, near Rachna High School and the Rupi Party Plot. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it stays fairly peaceful compared to the main roads of the city. We mostly do ice cream and some other food products. Our facility is where all the mixing and freezing happens. It’s not a fancy parlor where you sit and have a sundae; it’s more of an industrial spot where we prepare everything for distribution. The smell of milk and sugar is usually in the air around the building. We have several big freezers that run all day and night to keep everything at the right temperature. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to scramble to get the generator going, which is always a bit of a headache for us. The staff is mostly local guys from the neighborhood who have been with us for a while. We don’t spend money on big advertisements or marketing. We just focus on making the product and sending it out to the shops. It’s a small operation but we stay busy, especially in the summer months when everyone is looking for something cold to eat. The floors are usually a bit wet from the cleaning we do after every batch is finished. It’s just hard, honest work in a part of town we know very well. We’ve been here for years and plan to stay for many more.
