We are Creata Ice Cream Ltd, though officially we are registered as Guj Cold Storage. You can find us at 296 in the GIDC Industrial Estate in Odhav. We are near Soni’s Chawl. Since we are in an industrial area, things are a bit different here than in a regular market. It’s a lot of trucks and workers moving around all the time. Our building is part of the Gidc setup, so it's very practical and built for storage and production. We focus on ice cream and keeping things cold, which is why we have the cold storage part of the name. It’s a noisy area with all the factories nearby, but we’re used to it. We don't have a storefront where you’d sit down and eat. It’s more about the operations side of things. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. They know how the machines work and how to handle the stock. We don't do any big advertising. Most of our business is through the regular channels in the industrial estate. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat of Ahmedabad, but the cold storage keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There’s no corporate fluff here. Just a warehouse and production unit doing its daily routine in Odhav Gidc. The GIDC life isn't for everyone, but it suits us just fine. We have our routines and we stick to them. It’s about the work and not much else.
