You can find us right on the Sabarmati-Gandhinagar Highway in Motera, just behind the Vishvakarma Mandir. We’re pretty close to the D-Mart Mall too, so there’s always people wandering around. At Mahalaxmi Dairy And Food, we’ve got a pretty straightforward setup. It’s all about the milk, curd, and whatever else we’ve got in stock that day. The highway is always loud with trucks and cars zooming by, and the dust from the road tends to settle on everything if we don’t keep after it. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool, getting things ready for the people who stop by on their way to work. It’s a local kind of place where you get to know the regulars who live in the nearby apartments. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything; people just know we’re here behind the temple. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded when a few people come in at once, but we manage. We spend a lot of time checking the refrigeration and making sure everything is as it should be. It’s not a complicated business, but it requires a lot of attention to detail every single day. We’re just regular people working hard to keep the shop running and the customers happy with what they buy. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the neighborhood.
