Umiya Engineering & Elevators

We've been at No.10, right under the Nathalal Jagadiya Bridge in Maninagar for a while now. If you're coming from the Kamal Complex side, you just look across the road and there we are. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. We handle engineering stuff and elevators. It's mostly fixing things or making sure the lifts in the local buildings keep moving without getting stuck. People around here know us because we’re easy to find and we just get on with the job. My dad started with mechanical work years ago and now we do the elevator side of things too. It's dusty under the bridge sometimes, but that's just how it is. We spend most of our days out at sites or in the workshop here. Sometimes the traffic is a mess right outside our door, especially during rush hour, but we manage. We’ve got a small team. Everyone knows their way around a motor or a cable. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning everywhere, just a practical space where we keep our tools and parts. If someone calls because their lift isn't working, we grab the bags and go. It’s honest work. We’ve seen Maninagar change a lot over the years, more buildings going up every month it seems. That keeps us busy enough. We just try to do right by the folks who hire us and keep the machines running like they should. Nothing too complicated about it, really.
