Tushar Restaurant

So, we are over here at Tushar Restaurant, right at Girdhar Nagar Cross Road in Shahibaug. If you know the area, you probably know the Mahakali Temple because we are basically right across from it. It gets pretty busy around here, especially when there is a crowd at the temple or when people are just passing through Shahibaug on their way to work. We started this place a while back and honestly, it’s just a lot of day-to-day work keeping everything running. My brother and I usually open up early in the morning. Ahmedabad can get so hot in the afternoons, so we spend a lot of time just making sure the fans are working and the space stays cool for whoever walks in. It’s not a fancy setup, just some tables and chairs where people can sit down for a bit. We see the same faces quite often, people from the neighborhood mostly. Sometimes people ask for directions because of the temple being so close, so we end up talking to a lot of folks. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us while they are out and about. We focus on the food and keeping the place clean enough. It’s a simple life running a restaurant in this part of town. The traffic on Girdhar Nagar Cross Road never really stops, so there is always some noise from outside. But we like it here. It's home.
