Tomani Fabrics

Tomani Fabrics is located at number 190 in the New Cloth Market. It’s one of those places that has been around for a long time. You can tell by the way the stairs are worn down. We’ve been in this unit for quite a few years now. The market is always buzzing with people looking for deals and carrying large bundles on their shoulders. Our shop isn’t huge, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got shelves crammed with different kinds of fabric rolls. It’s a bit tight when two people try to walk past each other in the aisle. We don’t really mind the clutter, though. It feels like a workplace that way. Usually, it’s just me and one other person here during the day. We handle the sales, the packing, and the cleaning. The floor gets covered in lint and thread by the end of the day, so we have to sweep it out every evening. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to keep the shop running and make enough to get by. It’s a quiet life in a loud market. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so we all look out for each other. If we run out of change, we just go next door and ask. That's the best part about being in an old market like this one. We just keep on going.
