Tishya Jewellers

Our little shop is located in the Satyam Complex, specifically unit F-26. It’s in the Jodhpur Gaon area of Satellite, which is a pretty well-known part of town. We are right near the Prernatirth Derasar, so we get a lot of people walking by after they visit the temple. The complex itself is always buzzing with activity from the other shops, but inside our four walls, it’s a bit quieter. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the back bench, working on small repairs or polishing pieces that have gone dull. It’s not a large space, so everything is within arm’s reach. We keep the jewelry in heavy cases and only take out what someone specifically asks to see. There isn't a lot of room for walking around, so it stays quite cozy. People from the nearby apartments usually drop in to get a chain fixed or to pick up something small for a gift. We know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s a local business through and through. We aren't interested in being the biggest shop in Ahmedabad; we just like being part of the Satellite community. The day goes by fast between talking to the neighbors and keeping the inventory straight. Usually, we close up when the streetlights come on and the temple crowd thins out for the night.
