The Gujarat Garments Manufacturers Association

Our office is up on the 4th floor of the Karnavati Garment Mall. It’s the building where the old Madhuram Cinema used to be, over in the Gheekanta area. Being an association for garment manufacturers means there is always someone coming in or calling about something. It’s not a shop where you buy a single shirt, but more of a place where the local makers connect. The hallways in the mall can get a bit crowded, and sometimes the elevator is slow, so we end up taking the stairs. We spend most of our time dealing with paperwork or talking to members about what’s happening in the industry here in Gujarat. It’s a busy spot because Gheekanta is always moving and changing. We have a few desks and some chairs for when people come by to sit and chat about their business. It’s nothing too formal, just a place where people who make clothes can get together. We’ve been in this location for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the street below. Most of the folks who work here have been in the garment trade for years, so they know how things work. We don't really do much advertising because most people in the trade already know where to find the association. If you find yourself at the old cinema spot, just head up to the fourth floor and you’ll see our door. We try to be helpful when we can.
