The Eatery

We operate The Eatery inside the Four Points building over in the Ellis Bridge area of Ahmedabad. It’s a busy spot, right across from Gujarat College and behind the Aegis BPO. Being in such a central part of the city means we see all sorts of people coming through the doors. We have students from the college, office workers, and people staying in the rooms upstairs. It’s a bit of a mix. The kitchen team starts pretty early to get things ready for the day. We don't really do the whole formal dining thing in a stiff way; it’s more about just having a place where you can sit down and have a meal while the city moves outside. Ahmedabad gets quite noisy, but inside here, it’s a bit more settled. We’ve got the regular tables and the usual setup you’d expect. Most of us have been working in this part of town for a long time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We just focus on the daily tasks like checking the supplies, making sure the tables are set, and greeting whoever walks in. It’s a steady job for us. We don’t have some long story about how we started. We’re just here in Ellis Bridge, doing what we do every day. It’s a practical place for a meal if you’re in this part of Ahmedabad, and we don't try to make it more than that.
