Texsense Fabrics

Texsense Fabrics is situated right near the Panch Kunwa Darwaja in Kalupur. If you know that area, you know it’s always packed with people and vendors. We have a small shop there. We mainly handle different kinds of fabrics. It can be pretty overwhelming with the noise from the street, but that’s just Kalupur for you. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to the Panch Kunwa area for ages. We don't have a big website or a fancy catalog. You just come in, look at the rolls we have, and pick what you need. My father started this and now I’m the one running things most days. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to people, which can be tiring. But we like the community here. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how much stock we bring in at once. We don't want to be tripping over fabric all day. Sometimes we get some really nice pieces in, and those go fast. Other times, it’s just the standard stuff that everyone needs. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We're just a fabric shop in a very old, very busy part of town, doing what we know how to do. Some days are slow, but most are just busy enough to keep us going.
