Our place is at 50, Shreenath Colony in Ghatlodia and it is a bit of a mix between an office and a storage room. We are right near Gyanjyot High School so we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing all through the day. We handle a lot of construction chemicals like waterproofing stuff and sealants. Most of it comes in big plastic buckets or drums that we keep stacked up in the back part of the unit. It is not the kind of shop where people come to browse. Usually they know what they need for their building site and they just come to pick it up. Rannapark is a busy area so parking a truck outside can be a bit of a headache sometimes. I spend my time checking the labels and making sure we don't run out of the popular items. We use a lot of handwritten notes to keep track of things. The walls are a bit plain and we have some old chairs for when people need to sit and wait. We are just local people trying to make a living in Part-1 of the colony. It is a honest way to spend the day and we know a lot of the contractors around here by their first names. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. We just open the door in the morning and start moving the stock around as the orders come in.
