Stitchwell Garments

We have been at No. 2011/B Phase-IV for a long time now. It is right across from Torrent Power in Vatva. Most of our mornings start with the loud sound of the heavy metal gates rolling up. The G.I.D.C. area is always busy with trucks moving in and out and people rushing to their shifts. Inside Stitchwell Garments, it is mostly just us and the noise of the machines. We handle a lot of fabric every day. Some days are louder than others depending on how many stitching machines are running at once. It is not a fancy place, just a workspace with stacks of cloth and thread everywhere. You can usually find us sorting through patterns or checking the seams on a batch of shirts. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. The address is easy to find because everyone in the area knows where the power station is. We do not spend much time on office work because most of the real work happens on the floor where the cutting and stitching get done. Sometimes the tea stall guy comes around and we take a quick break, then it is back to the needles. There is always a bit of dust from the cotton in the air. We have grown used to the rhythm of the place over the years. It is just a regular garment shop doing its part in the industrial estate.
