Status Point

Status Point is over in shop number 106 at the Himalaya Mall, right near Drive In Road in Memnagar. Being in a mall means we follow the mall's schedule, so we are often here late into the night. The shop itself is a standard size, with enough room for a few racks and a small counter where we handle the money. It’s a bit different from the street shops because it’s a bit cleaner, but it’s still just a regular place of work for us. We spend a lot of our time folding clothes that customers have looked through. The mall air conditioning is nice during the summer months, though it can get a bit chilly in the winter. We have a small stool behind the counter, but we don’t get to sit on it much. There’s always something that needs to be moved or a shelf that needs straightening. We don’t have any big signs or loud music playing. We just keep things quiet and do our jobs. The mall can get very loud on the weekends when families come out, so those days are always a bit more tiring. We’ve gotten to know the security guards and the people working in the food court nearby. It’s a little community in here. We just focus on keeping the stock updated and making sure we don't run out of things. It’s a steady kind of life near the Drive In Road area, nothing too exciting. We just keep the doors open until the mall lights go down.
