Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir

If you drive down Bopal Manipur Road in Ahmedabad, you will find our school right there in the Manipur area. It is a place where we spend most of our waking hours. The building is easy to spot once you get close to that part of the road. We have a lot of students coming in every morning from different parts of the city. Some come by bus and some are dropped off by their parents. The atmosphere here is usually quite energetic because of the kids running around before the bell rings. We have teachers who have been with us for a long time and they know most of the families by name. It is not some high-pressure corporate environment. It feels more like a big house where everyone has a job to do. We spend our time in the classrooms or out on the grounds when the weather is nice enough. The desks are sometimes a bit scratched and the chalkboards are always dusty, but that shows the work being done. We handle the paperwork and the lessons as they come. Manipur is a growing area, so things are always changing around us, but inside the gates, it stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss or noise. It's just a regular school day for us, year after year, with the same morning bells and afternoon goodbyes.
