Sri Keshav Granite Industries

Sri Keshav Granite Industries is located at 9 Meldi Estate. We are pretty close to the Gota railway crossing in Gota Gam. If you live around here, you know the sound of the trains passing by. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not the quietest place to work, but it suits us just fine. We have a lot of space here for all the granite we keep in stock. The estate stays busy with trucks and workers coming and going. We spend most of our time out in the yard. Granite is heavy and it takes some effort to move it around safely. We handle the slabs carefully because one crack can ruin the whole piece. People from Gota and the surrounding areas come to us when they are building something. We don't have a big office or anything like that. We usually just meet people right where the stone is kept. It’s easier that way so they can see exactly what they are getting. The dust from the stone is just part of the job. We’ve been at this for a good number of years now. We know the suppliers and we know what a good piece of stone looks like. It is just regular work for us. We start early in the morning and stay until the work is done. It’s how things are done here in Gota Gam. There are no fancy tricks to it, just moving the stone.
