Soni Chunilal Govindbhai Jewellers

Our shop, Soni Chunilal Govindbhai Jewellers, is located in the Bhadraraj Chamber. We are right there at Swastik Char Rasta on C.G. Road in Navarangpura. It’s a busy intersection, so you can always hear the traffic. We’ve been in this spot for quite a few years. It’s a family-run thing, and we mostly stick to what we know. The shop isn't massive, but we have enough space for our glass counters and a couple of stools for customers. We start every morning by cleaning the jewelry and making sure the displays look okay. Navarangpura is a hub for shopping, so we get all sorts of people walking in. Some are just looking, and some have been buying from us since my grandfather was running things. We don't have those big flashy screens or anything promotional. It’s just us and the jewelry. The building is okay, though the elevator can be a bit moody sometimes. We usually take a break in the afternoon when it gets quiet. The dust from the road is a bit of a problem, so we are always wiping things down. It’s a straightforward life. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just show the pieces we have and help people find what they need for their families. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting, but we enjoy the company of our customers and the rhythm of the street.
