Shree Tirupati Stone (Gota)

Being right near Gota Chokdi means there is always a lot of noise from the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway. We are located right on Gota Road and it is a pretty hectic spot most days. At Shree Tirupati Stone, we spend most of our time outside in the yard with the stone slabs. It’s heavy work and my back feels it by the end of the day. The highway is right there so we get a lot of dust from the trucks passing by. We have all sorts of stones piled up. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic near the chokdi. Other days everyone wants their stone delivered at the same time. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes but we get it done eventually. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small space to sit and talk to people. The sun gets really hot out here on the highway. We’ve been at this Gota Road location for a bit now so people know where to find us. It’s easy to spot if you are coming from the highway side. Sometimes the stone arrives chipped and we have to sort through it. That’s the part I don't like much. It is just regular work, nothing too special about it. We just keep moving the stones and hope the weather stays clear for the workers to do their jobs properly.
