Shree Roop Maa Granites/Girdharimal Granites

You can find us at Plot No 290/1, right near Gota Talav in Gota Gam. We’ve been working with stones and granites for quite some time now at Shree Roop Maa Granites, which some people also know as Girdharimal Granites. It’s a heavy business, literally. We spend most of our time moving large slabs of stone around the yard. It gets loud when the cutters are running, and there’s water and stone dust everywhere. That’s just part of the job when you deal with granite. We have different types of stones stacked up, some from nearby and some from further away. People from the neighborhood come by when they are fixing up their kitchens or floors. We aren't a big fancy showroom with air conditioning; we are just a yard where the real work happens. Sometimes a slab has a crack we didn't see, or the color isn't exactly what someone expected, so we have to sort through the piles to find the right piece. It takes patience. We like being near the lake, it’s a landmark everyone knows. Gota has grown a lot lately, with new houses everywhere, so we stay pretty busy. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show you what we have on the racks and tell you the price. If we have it, we’ll get it loaded up for you. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us all these years.
