Shree Mysore Cafe

Shree Mysore Cafe is located in the Shah Alam area of Ahmedabad. We are directly opposite Swaminarayan College and near the Shah Alam Toll Naka. Because we are so close to the college, we get a lot of students coming in between their classes. They are usually looking for something quick and cheap to eat, so we stay busy with idlis and dosas. The cafe isn't very big, and the tables are often crowded with books and bags. It’s a noisy place because there is always some music playing or the students are laughing and talking loudly. The kitchen is right there, so you can see the steam coming off the cookers and hear the sizzle of the batter on the hot plates. We go through a lot of coffee every day, especially during exam times when everyone seems to be running on caffeine. The street outside is always busy with traffic going toward the toll naka, so there is a bit of a buzz in the air all the time. We have been here for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to close up and do it. It’s a simple, local spot where you can get a decent meal without spending too much money. We know most of the regular students by name, and we see them graduate and move on every year.
