You can find us in the Sarabhai Block of what used to be the Old Modern High School. We are in room 101 on the first floor of the Mahaveer Complex in Gheekanta. The Pitalia Bamba No. 101 area is usually buzzing with people, as Gheekanta is a major hub for this kind of work. The building is an old school, so it has that specific feel to it with high ceilings and wide corridors. We’ve turned our section into a garment workshop. It’s full of sewing machines and cutting tables. The floor is often covered in scraps of cloth and loose threads. We don't have a fancy entrance or a lobby for visitors. You just walk in and see us working. The lighting is okay, but we use extra lamps over the machines to make sure we can see what we’re doing. It gets pretty loud when all the machines are running at once, so we don't do much talking during those times. We just focus on the garments. The Mahaveer Complex is a busy place with lots of other small businesses like ours. We all kind of know each other. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just take a break until it comes back on. It’s a simple way of doing things, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. It isn't always easy, but we manage to get the work out and keep the machines going until the day is done.
