If you head down to Shramjivi Vasahat near the Vanraj Soap factory, you will find us. We are right on NH No 8 at the Rajendra Park Char Rasta in Rakhial. It’s a loud area because of the highway, but you get used to the trucks rumbling past. We handle cement here. It’s a messy job, there is no way around the grey dust that settles on everything. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading bags from the lorries. Each bag is fifty kilos, so it keeps us in shape whether we like it or not. The office is small and mostly filled with ledgers and a few chairs for visitors. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, watching the traffic change at the Char Rasta. Sometimes it takes forever to get a truck out onto the main road during peak hours. We drink a lot of water because it gets dry with all the cement in the air. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us because they are building something nearby or they know the Rakhial area well. It’s a straightforward business. We sell cement, we move the bags, and we go home tired.
