Shree Ambica Engineering Works

Shree Ambica Engineering Works is over in Naroda, at D - 11/4 in the Shreeji Estate. We are sitting right opposite the telephone exchange and not too far from the Sutar-Karkhana. It’s a busy corner of Ahmedabad where you can always hear the hum of industry. Our workshop is full of tools and bits of metal that we use for various engineering jobs. It isn't a showroom; it's a place where things actually get built and repaired. The floors are usually covered in some kind of metal shavings, and the air smells like oil and hot steel. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. Most of the people around here know us by name, and we know them. It’s a tight-knit community of workers and small shop owners. We don’t have a lot of fancy procedures. When someone brings in a job, we look it over, give them a price, and get to it. Sometimes we stay late when a project is tricky or when the deadline is tight. It’s just the way it goes. We don’t really bother with the marketing side of things. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we are here. It’s practical, everyday labor. We just focus on getting the job done without making a big fuss about it. That’s just how we operate in the estate and keep the business running through the seasons.
