Shivkrupa Garments

Shivkrupa Garments has been based in the Laxmi Vishnu Market for quite some time now. Our shop is number 23, and if you know the Gheekanta area, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s a crowded market, but we like the energy of it. We deal with garments every day, mostly just sorting through piles and helping whoever walks through the door. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. Sometimes it feels like we are surrounded by walls of fabric. We start early because that’s when the market is most active. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so we all know each other. We don’t spend time on fancy decorations or anything. We just keep the lights on and the stock ready. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bundles and checking labels. My brother helps me out most days, and we just take things one order at a time. The walk down to Gheekanta can be a bit of a trek if you aren't used to the crowds, but it’s where all the action is. We just focus on keeping the shop running and making sure the inventory is correct. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from morning until the market closes up for the night. We're just glad to have a steady place here after all this time working in the market.
