Shivam Marble (S G Highway)

Our shop, Shivam Marble, is located in Gota on the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway. We are right near the Silver Oak Club gate, so most people use that as a way to find us. Being on the S G Highway means we see a lot of traffic and a lot of new construction happening all around. Our yard is filled with rows of marble and granite slabs. They come in from different places, and we spend time sorting them by quality and color. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. We use the gantry crane to move the big pieces around when someone wants to see a specific slab from the middle of the stack. It’s always a bit dusty out here, especially when the wind blows across the highway. We don’t have a fancy air-conditioned office. We usually just sit on plastic chairs under the shade and talk to customers about what they need for their floors or counters. We try to be honest about the prices and the delivery times. Traffic on the highway can be unpredictable, so sometimes our delivery trucks are a little late, but we always call and let people know. It’s a simple business. We buy stone, we show it to people, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that. We’ve been in Gota for a while now and we don't plan on moving anywhere else soon.
