Shiv Sagar Veg Restaurant

Our spot is in the Aeon Complex, specifically 4 GF, right at Vijay Cross Road in Navrangpura. It’s a very central part of Ahmedabad, across from the ADC Bank. Being on a crossroad means there is always something happening outside. We get a lot of students from the nearby colleges and people who work in the offices around here. The restaurant is quite basic in its setup. We have simple tables and the menu is printed on one sheet. We don’t go for anything too polished because that’s not who we are. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the lunch rush when everyone wants their food at the same time. The kitchen is small but we make it work somehow. We’ve had the same cook for a while now, so the taste doesn’t change much. Sometimes the air conditioner struggles when it’s really hot outside, but we try to keep it comfortable for the customers. We don't have a big story to tell, just that we’ve been here for a while and we keep doing the same thing every day. It’s about getting the orders right and making sure everyone has a place to sit. It’s a noisy, busy place but it’s our life. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook and serve and then start over again the next morning.
