Sheth Stores Trading Co is located in Deepak Chambers, right on Station Road in Kalupur. Being so close to the station means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the trains and the constant flow of people moving toward the platforms. The area is always crowded with vendors and travelers, so getting to the office can be a bit of a walk through the throng. Inside Deepak Chambers, it is a bit more structured. We have been trading here for a long time. Our space is packed with whatever we are moving that week. There is not much room to walk around when we get a new shipment in. We spend our days checking lists and talking to buyers who come in off the street. It is a hot place in the summer, and we mostly rely on the ceiling fans to keep us cool. We know most of the other traders in the building, and we often share a quick word in the hallway. It is just how we do things here, face to face and with a lot of talking. We don't use a lot of technology, just the basics to keep the records straight. When the day ends, we watch the commuters rushing back to the station while we close up our shutters.
