Sasuji Dinning Hall

We are located on the third floor of Singapore Avenue on C G Road. Most people know the area because of the Lal Bunglow right across from us in Navrangpura. Being up on the third floor means you have to take the lift or the stairs, but people seem to find their way up here just fine. It’s been our spot in Ahmedabad for a good bit of time. The dining hall is quite large so we can fit a lot of families at once. We don't do anything fancy with the menu; it’s just the usual food we’ve always made. My uncle started this place and we just kept it going the same way. The kitchen is always busy since we start early in the morning to get everything ready for the lunch rush. It gets pretty warm in there with all the pots going. We don't really bother with fancy tablecloths or anything like that. We just want people to sit down and eat until they’re full. Sometimes the wait for a table is a bit long on Sundays, but that’s normal for this part of town. Navrangpura is always crowded, so parking can be a bit of a headache near the building. We try to keep things moving so everyone gets their turn. It’s a plain place, nothing too modern, just a lot of stainless steel plates and the smell of cooking.
