Samirika Fabrication Works

We are located at shop number 20 in the Adarsh Industrial Estate, Part 1. It’s over in Odhav, right by Chotalal Ni Chawl and just across from Murlidhar Society. Samirika Fabrication Works is basically a workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. There is always the sound of machines running and metal clanging against metal. It’s not a quiet place at all. We spend our time welding, cutting, and putting things together. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and dust from the grinder. We wear our old work clothes and don't worry too much about looking neat or tidy. It’s hard work and the hours can be quite long when we have a big project to finish. We don't have a front office with a receptionist or fancy chairs. If you come by, you'll probably find us in the middle of a job with masks on. We just try to make things that hold up and do the job they are supposed to do for a long time. Being in Odhav means we are surrounded by other industrial shops. We know the guys in the units next door and we help each other out with tools or advice sometimes. It’s a gritty environment but it’s where we belong. We don't use fancy talk about our process or our technology. We just pick up the tools and get to work until the sun goes down and it's time to head home.
