You can find us at number 28 in the New Cloth Market over in Raipur. It’s right near the entrance of the market area, so it’s easy to spot if you’re looking for it. We deal in all kinds of fabrics. The shop is filled with rolls of cloth stacked up high. Sometimes they even lean over a bit. It’s a noisy place because the Raipur market is always full of people bargaining and moving things. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s always someone you know behind the counter. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it’s sturdy enough for the weight. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of fabric for customers. Our scissors are a bit old but they still cut well. We don’t use any fancy computer systems, just a notebook and a pen to keep track of sales. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. People come to us because they know we have a good variety of stuff. We don't talk much about missions or anything. We just sell fabric and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. It’s just a normal shop in a busy market. There’s usually a bit of dust from all the textiles, but we don’t mind it much. We just keep working until it’s time to close the shutters.
