Sagar Restaurant

We have been at the Sadakat Building for a long time now. If you know Kadia Kui on Relief Road, you have probably seen our sign. It gets very busy around this part of Ahmedabad, especially with the Zakaria Masjid right nearby. People come in for a quick bite or to sit down when they are tired of walking through all the shops. It is not a fancy place, just simple tables and chairs and food that fills you up. We do not do any real advertising. Most folks just walk in because they are already in the neighborhood and looking for a meal. The kitchen stays pretty loud during the lunch hour. We try to keep things moving so nobody waits too long. Sometimes the floors get a bit messy when it is raining outside, but we mop up as we go. It is just us running the place every day. We know most of the regulars by their faces and what they like to eat. You get a mix of office workers and people just passing through. Relief Road is always noisy with traffic, but inside it is a bit different. We handle the cooking ourselves mostly. There is nothing complicated on the menu. We just make the usual stuff people like to eat when they are out for the day. It is a small operation. We open early and stay until the dinner crowd finally thins out. (257 words)
