You have to go up to the 9th floor of the Vardan Complex to find us. We are in unit D.9. The building is on Ashram Road in Navrangpura, which is a really busy part of the city. Being on the 9th floor means we are a bit away from the street noise, which is a relief sometimes. We are near Lakudi Talav, a landmark most people use to find the building. We work on different creations, mostly garments and fabric-based items. Because we are in an office-style complex, we don’t get a lot of random foot traffic. Most people who come here are looking specifically for us. The space is divided into a work area and a small section where we show what we’ve made. It isn’t a fancy showroom. There are threads on the floor and stacks of boxes in the corner. We spend most of the day at our desks or moving between the storage racks. The elevator in the building can be slow during lunch hours, so we’ve learned to be patient. We’ve been in Navrangpura for quite some time now. It’s a good location for getting things done. We don't have any corporate slogans or big plans. We just focus on finishing the work we have in front of us and making sure the shop stays running. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We usually close up once the sun goes down and head home after the elevator rush.
