Retreat Restaurant

Retreat Restaurant is tucked inside the Accolade Hotel over in Ellis Bridge. We are right opposite Gujarat College, which means we see a lot of students and professors walking by all the time. Ahmedabad is a busy city, and the Ellis Bridge area is right in the middle of it all. Being at the 380006 address means we get a lot of people who are either staying at the hotel or just working in the nearby offices. We don’t have a separate entrance on the street, so you have to come through the hotel lobby to find us. The kitchen is usually busy starting from early morning. We aren’t trying to be the most famous place in town. We just want to serve food that tastes like it should. Our staff is local, and most of us have been working here for years. It can get a bit crowded during lunch hours because of the college crowd, but we try to keep things moving. The view of the college building across the road is actually quite nice if you get a window seat. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. People just know we are here. Sometimes the elevator in the hotel acts up, but the stairs are right there. It’s a simple, honest place to get a meal without any of the extra drama you find in bigger restaurants. We just do the basics and hope people enjoy the food.
