Ratnam Beverages Pvt. Ltd. is located out in Village Makarba, right near the Makarba Gram Panchayat Office. If you go past Patel Vas and Soni Sheri, you’ll find us. Being in a village on the outskirts of Ahmedabad means we have a bit more space, but it also means we have to deal with the heat and the dust that comes with the territory. We make beverages, so a lot of our time is spent around the bottling machines and making sure the inventory is stored in the shade. It’s a physical job. We’re constantly moving crates and checking the seals on bottles. The noise of the machinery is something you just get used to after a few days. We’re part of the local landscape here, and we often see our neighbors heading to the Panchayat office while we’re loading up the trucks. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone writing fancy scripts for us. We just make the drinks and get them out to the shops. Some days the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we all have to pitch in to fix it. It’s just the reality of running a factory in a place like this. We take pride in the work, even if it’s sweaty and tiring most of the time. We’ve been at it for a while and don't plan on changing our ways anytime soon.
