Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is at A/5, Central Bank Flats, Div-2 on Bhudarpura Road in the Ambawadi area. It’s a nice little spot in Ahmedabad. Being located right by the bank flats, we get a lot of the local residents coming in for their morning coffee or a quick snack in the evening. The place isn't huge, but we have enough tables to keep everyone comfortable. The floor is a bit worn down in the spots where people stand in line, which I guess shows how many people have visited us over the years. We have a couple of staff members who have been here since the day we opened. The smell of roasted beans is something you never really lose, even after you go home. Ambawadi is a pretty central part of the city, so there’s always something happening outside on Bhudarpura Road. We see the seasons change through the front glass. In the monsoon, the rain splashes against the windows and makes the whole place feel cozy. We don't have any fancy music playing, just whatever is on the radio or sometimes just the sound of the grinder. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up and we have to spend an hour fixing it, but that’s just part of the job. It’s a good place for friends to meet up and talk for hours. We don't mind if people stay a long time. It makes the cafe feel more like a community spot than just a business.
