Preet Fabrics

Our place is B-50 on the ground floor of Sumel Business Park-3, which is right across from the New Cloth Market in Raipur. Being on the ground floor is a huge plus because we don't have to carry heavy bolts of fabric up any stairs. The business park is a bit newer than some of the older markets nearby, so it feels a little different here. We have a lot of fabrics coming through our doors every week. It’s mostly cottons and things like that. I spend a lot of my day just cutting pieces for customers and making sure the rolls are stacked safely so they don't fall over. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. My hands are usually pretty tired by the end of the shift. We aren't a big corporation; it’s just a small operation here. We have a few regulars who come in every time they start a new project. Sometimes we just sit and have a cup of tea when it’s slow. The area around Raipur is always crowded, especially with the cloth market right there, so there is never a dull moment. We try to keep the shop organized, but with so much fabric everywhere, it usually looks a bit messy by five o'clock. We don't mind it, though, as it shows we've been busy. It’s a good spot to be in and we enjoy the people we meet.
