Prakash Saree

Our shop, Prakash Saree, which some people call Prakash Saree (Femme), is over at 102 Shaily Square. It’s right behind the Universa Honda showroom, which is a big landmark for anyone driving on National Highway No. 08. We are in the Khodiyar Nagar part of Bapu Nagar. It’s a very busy area with cars and bikes zooming past all day on the highway. Being in Shaily Square is nice because it’s a bit more tucked away than the main road shops. We have a lot of sarees here, mostly for women looking for something for a party or a daily wear. The shop is usually full of boxes and hangers. We try to keep it organized, but when we have many customers at once, things get a bit messy. Bapu Nagar has a lot of energy. We spend our time showing different patterns and talking about the fabric quality. Sometimes people get lost looking for us, so we always tell them to look for the Honda dealership first. It’s a local business, nothing too fancy. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and start our day. The regulars know us by name now. We don't have a huge staff, just enough people to make sure everyone gets a chance to see the sarees they like. It feels like a small community here in Khodiyar Nagar. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who walk through the door.
