Pragna Jewellers

Pragna Jewellers is over at A-1, Vir Nagar Society in Bhimjipura. If you know the Navavadaj area, it’s not too hard to find us. We are right on the ground floor. The society is usually full of kids playing or people drying clothes on their balconies. Our shop is quite small, honestly. We have two glass counters that we spend a lot of time cleaning because fingerprints show up so easily. Pragna Jewellers is a name we’ve had for years. There’s an old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it’s on high speed, but it keeps the air moving during those hot afternoons. Navavadaj gets pretty busy during the festivals, and then our little corner in Vir Nagar Society feels a lot more crowded. We have a small stool behind the counter where one of us sits while the other talks to whoever walks in. We keep a ledger on the shelf to write everything down. It’s a very manual way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always done it at A-1. Sometimes the neighbors pop their heads in just to say hello. We don't have any flashy lights or big advertisements. Most people just find out about us from someone else in the neighborhood. It’s just a simple life here at the shop, looking at pieces and talking to the locals who stop by. We usually close for a couple of hours in the afternoon when it gets too quiet.
