We are located at number 11 in the Motilal Centre, which is right across from where the Punjab Travels buses pick up passengers on Ashram Road. It is a very busy spot in the city. Our business, Prabha Trading Corp Maheshwari Cement Distributors, handles cement distribution. It is a straightforward job. We get the cement in and we make sure it goes out to the people who need it for their building projects. The office is often a bit dusty because of the trucks and the bags, but that is just how it is with this kind of work. We have been on Dinesh Hall Road for quite a while now. It’s mostly just us handling the invoices and talking to drivers on the radio. It isn't the kind of place with carpets and nice art. We have metal chairs and big ledgers for tracking everything. Ashram Road can be a nightmare for traffic, so we spend a lot of time coordinating the delivery timings so the trucks don't get stuck. It’s a lot of coordination and calling people to see where their truck is. We don't have any big mission statements. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving. Most of the people we work with are local contractors who have been buying from us for years. It’s a steady business and we are glad to be part of the local community here near the travel hub.
