Pokarna Ltd

Our Ahmedabad location for Pokarna Ltd is over in Jamalpur, at 2454/2, Tajpur Mominwad. It’s right opposite the Gajipir Dargah, which is a very well-known landmark in this part of the city. Jamalpur is an old area, full of history and very narrow lanes. Driving a car through here is a nightmare, so most people use scooters or just walk. The atmosphere is totally different from the newer parts of Ahmedabad. Character fills the old buildings and the busy markets nearby. Our office is a modest space that fits right into the neighborhood. Without air conditioning in every room, the fans are always spinning during the summer months. Outside, the sounds of the market and visitors to the Dargah can be loud, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days mostly handling paperwork and talking to people who drop by. No corporate hierarchy exists here; we all just pitch in where we are needed. Afternoon snacks usually come from the local vendors who have been here for years. It’s a very grounded way to work. We aren't interested in sounding bigger than we are. Being a small part of this neighborhood is enough for us as we do our daily business and keep things simple. Most days are quiet, and we like the fact that we are close to the heart of the old city.
