You can find us at Plot No. 5639/F in Phase-2 of the GIDC in Vatva. Shri Rathod Hemrajbhai D. (Mahi Ice Ind) is a family-rooted kind of place, run by the owner and a small, hardworking crew. Making ice in a place like this is a very busy business, especially when the temperatures start rising in the summer months. It is not an easy job, staying on top of the freezing process and making sure deliveries happen on time. Our unit isn't something out of a magazine, it's a real working plant with all the wear and tear you'd expect from years of service. We spend a lot of time checking the equipment and managing the water supply. In the GIDC, everyone is usually in a rush, but we try to keep a steady pace despite the madness outside. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist. Most of the time, whoever is closest to the gate will help you out if you need something. We’ve been here in Phase-2 for a while, and we know our neighbors well. It’s a community of workers and owners just trying to make a living. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make ice and get it to where it needs to go. It’s simple, physical work that keeps us busy from morning until night, and we’re quite alright with that way of life. It works for us.
