Shree Swaminarayan Ice Factory

Our place, Shree Swaminarayan Ice Factory, is located at Plot No. C1-3407/6 in the Phase-4 section of GIDC, Vatva. Being in the ice business means our schedule is pretty much set by the seasons and the demand of the local market. During the summer, it gets incredibly busy and we are working around the clock to keep up. The rest of the year is a bit more relaxed, which gives us time to fix the machinery and clean up the shop. We’ve been at this Vatva location for a good while now. It’s a practical setup with the freezing tanks and the loading area right where they need to be. We don't have a big office with air conditioning; we spend most of our time on the floor where the action is. It’s a noisy, wet environment, but we’re used to it. The people who work here are like a small family. We know each other’s habits and how to get the blocks loaded onto the trucks quickly. We don't bother with fancy slogans or mission statements. We just make sure the ice is solid and the people get what they paid for when they leave our gate. It’s a straightforward business. If you’re driving through Phase-4, you can usually spot us by the white mist coming from the vents. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day without much fuss.
