Paras Gems & Jewels

Paras Gems & Jewels is over at Platinum Plaza on Judges Bunglow Road. Bodakdev is a nice area, quite different from the older parts of Ahmedabad. We have our little spot here where we deal with all sorts of jewelry and stones. Usually, the day starts with opening up the shutters and making sure the glass cases are clean. It’s not always busy, some afternoons are quite slow and we just sit and talk about things while we wait for the next person to walk in. When people come in, we just show them what we have on the shelves. There is no big sales pitch or anything like that. We just enjoy the work we do. Being in Platinum Plaza means we see a lot of the same faces every week. We have been doing this for some time now and it feels like home. Sometimes the lights in the plaza flicker or the parking gets a bit crazy, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a steady one where folks can come in and look at things without feeling rushed. It’s mostly just us and the items we have collected over the months. We keep a ledger for everything and try to stay organized, though sometimes the desk gets a bit messy with paperwork. It is a straightforward business and we like it that way.
