Om Enterprise

Our place is tucked away in the Shreeji Industrial Estate over in Odhav. It’s right near the Municipal Garden, so it’s actually a bit of a nice spot when you step outside for a break. We are at Number 1, which makes it easy for people to find us once they get onto Ambicanagar Road. The workshop isn’t massive, but we have enough space for our equipment and a small area for packing the goods. It’s a family-style environment here; we all know each other and usually share tea in the afternoons when the sun is high. We don't have any big slogans or mission statements posted on the walls. We just have the work orders pinned to a board near the main desk. Most days are spent cutting or shaping whatever material we are working on that week. It gets a bit loud when all the machines are running at once, but we’re used to it by now. The floor is concrete and stays relatively cool, which is a blessing in the Ahmedabad heat. We just make sure the gates are open early and that the shipments go out to the local markets on time. There’s no big secret to how we do things; we just show up every morning and put in the hours until the work is finished.
