Nutan Restaurant

Our place, Nutan Restaurant, sits right on Lal Darwaja Road in Ahmedabad. If you know the city, you know how busy it gets around here near the Dinbai Tower. We open up early in the morning, usually when the air is still a bit cool before the sun really starts hitting the pavement. My staff and I have been doing this for a long time now. We don't have any fancy signs or a big marketing plan. We just have the tables and the kitchen in the back. Most of the people who come in are just looking for a quick meal before they go back to their shops or catch a bus at the station. It gets pretty loud in the afternoons with the traffic outside and people talking over their plates. We try to keep things clean and the water jugs filled up. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the lunch rush is bigger than we expected, but that is just part of how things go. We see a lot of the same faces every single day. There is a man who comes in every Tuesday for his lunch, and he always sits in the same corner near the window. It is just a normal spot for regular people. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just here on the ground floor, serving food and watching the city go by outside our door. Sometimes the street noise is a bit much, but you get used to it.
