Neelams Lutf Restaurant

If you have ever walked around Navrangpura, you probably know where we are. Neelams Lutf Restaurant is right near Dada Saheb Pagla and just opposite the University Boys Hostel. Being so close to the hostel means we see a lot of students all the time. They are always in a hurry or complaining about their exams. I have been running this place for a few years, and it is mostly just a lot of hard work and making sure the kitchen is running right. The area stays busy until late at night because of the university crowd. Sometimes the noise from the street is a bit much, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end places you see in the malls. It is just a simple restaurant with wooden chairs and a menu that has not changed much since we opened. My brother helps out with the accounts, and I stay mostly in the back or near the counter. We have had a few leaks in the ceiling during the monsoon, and the floor is a bit worn out in spots, but it is a comfortable enough place. People come here for a meal when they don't feel like cooking at home. We just do our thing every day, from opening the shutters in the morning to cleaning up at night. Navrangpura is a good place to be, and we are just glad to be part of the neighborhood.
