We've been over here by the Master Petrol Pump for quite a while now. Most people just look for Gandhi Bridge and then they find us outside Shahpur Gate. It’s a busy spot, but we like it. We mostly spend our days dealing with different kinds of wood and fixing up furniture for people in the neighborhood. Some days it’s just sanding down old tables and other times we are putting together new cabinets from scratch. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of all the sawing, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with your hands. We don't really have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. My brother and I usually handle most of the orders ourselves. We know the regulars by name and they know where to find us if a chair leg breaks or if they need a new cupboard for their kitchen. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break when the sun is right over the gate. If you drop by, you'll probably see a bunch of half-finished projects leaning against the walls. We just try to get the work done right so it lasts. There's no big secret to what we do, just using decent wood and taking the time to nail things together properly. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
