Moonshine Parlour

Our place is over at number 7 in the Shantiniketan Apartment building on Vishram Road. It is quite close to H B K School, so we get used to the sound of the school bells and the kids shouting in the afternoon. Being in an apartment block makes it feel more like a home than a big shop. We have been here in Ahmedabad for a bit now, just doing what we know how to do. The room is small and we have a few chairs set up for when people come in. It is not a place with bright neon lights or anything. We mostly just keep the door open to let some air in during the hot months. Most of our customers live nearby in the same area or are parents waiting for their children to finish school. We don't have a big team of people, just a couple of us who know how to handle the work. The mirrors are plain and the lighting is just what comes from the tubes on the ceiling. We keep our combs in jars and the towels are always drying on the rack. It is a quiet street for the most part, which is nice when you are working. People come in to talk about their day and we just listen while we work. It is a basic setup but it works for us and the people who visit.
